The Rural Fire Service has successfully conducted a hazard reduction burn in Gosford today.
The operation commenced early this morning, with 75 firefighters involved in the controlled burn of 11.5 hectares of vegetation in Rumbalara Reserve.
The burn-off was planned to be a two-day operation, but was completed well ahead of schedule.
Firefighters are in the process of extinguishing remaining sportfires in the reserve.
