The push to boost numbers at this year’s Newcastle Show appears to have worked, with bumper crowds recorded.
Up until 3 o’clock Saturday afternoon, 27,000 people had passed through the gates.
Organisers say centre ring entertainment and the addition of several new adrenaline-pumping rides have proven to be great drawcards.
If you missed last night’s fireworks display, there’ll be another tonight at 9 o’clock.
The three-day event wraps up tomorrow.
