Tamworth’s 92.9FM and 2TM team won the best community service project,
in the country category at last night’s Australian Commercial Radio Awards.
The station was recognised for their first ever simulcast radiothon, held for the David Rixon Memorial Fund.
The radiothon, held in March this year, went for five and half hours and managed to raise more than $8000 an hour for the fund.
And Inverell was also recognised, John Sutherland from the 2NZ team took out the best station produced comedy segment in the country category for his ‘Alan Joyce announcement’.
