Water samples taken from bores at Woolomin have confirmed five are contaminated following a 400 litre fuel leak three weeks ago at the General Store.
The highest reading came from the bore closest to the store, while the school’s bore recorded the lowest reading.
Water is also being pumped out to be treated at the Tamworth Waste Water Plant, with pumping expected to continue for the next two days.
The tanks have been taken away, and work is underway to remove polluted soil.
