MAN SENTENCED TO THREE YEARS JAIL OVER SCHOOL FIRE

A 21-year-old man has been sentenced over a fire four years ago which caused $12-million in damage to a Tamworth high school.

The man was sentenced to three years and three months in jail for breaking into Oxley High School and setting the Castlereagh block alight.

A former student of the school, the man will be eligible for release at the end of the year.
