A school-aged child in Armidale has been diagnosed with measles, following a trip to Asia.
It’s prompted a call from Hunter New England Health for people to be vigilant about vaccinations.
Measles is highly contagious with symptoms including a fever, cough and red rash.
Doctors say those displaying the symptoms should stay away from public places and see their GP immediately.
