Northern Inland Football is hoping to continue the trend of rapidly increasing numbers playing the sport in the region.
Between 20-14 and last year, registrations went up by over 300, with the local committee hoping to hit 6,000 this season.
One of the nation’s leading researchers, the Roy Morgan Institute, believes football is the most popular sport among Australian women.
They’re being targeted in the New England North West, with talks continuing about a girls Under 6s competition.
