Walcha residents have taken their opposition to a forced merger with Tamworth Regional Council to social media.
The “Save Walcha Council” Facebook page has more than 600 likes and plenty of comments supporting council in its bid to stand alone.
Those who want to have their say in person are invited to a public meeting on February 10, which will be hosted at the Ex Services Club from nine till 12.
A similar meeting will take place in Tamworth at West Diggers.
