It’s been a tragic 24 hours on Far North Coast beaches, with two swimmers dying in separate incidents.
Late yesterday afternoon, a male surfer in his 50s was pulled unconscious at Turners Beach in Yamba.
The lifeguard on duty conducted CPR until paramedics arrived, but the man later died.
Meanwhile a man in his 80s died while swimming at Seven Mile Beach at Broken Head at around 6pm last night.
