WEATHER: CLASSIC SUMMER SOUTHERLY BLASTER

A strong southerly is moving up the coast quickly tonight. Large storm cells are firing up ahead of the front hitting Sydney hard this afternoon with nasty cells now developing over the Central Coast, Hunter, NW and MNC. The southerly will sweep across the region tonight and it contains moisture so a rain band will also accompany the change. Flash flooding will be possible and the storms will likely be damage causing. The next couple of days will be much cooler and conditions will settle over the weekend. A large new swell will also hit the coast.
