Cleanaway has been awarded the new tender to manage the coast’s waste services from next year.
In an extraordinary meeting last night, Central Coast Council said residents can look forward to a more streamlined waste service.
All current employees will retain their jobs, with garbage drivers to be paid the rate which council negotiated with the Transport Union earlier this year.
Remondis will continue on the coast before Cleanaway takes over from February 1.
