Engineers are working to stabilise a marina complex which partially collapsed at Lake Macquarie, yesterday morning.
The building, which was home to Milanos restaurant, began sliding into the water at Pelican at about 9.30, with several occupants scrambling to safety as the structure collapsed.
An investigation into the incident is underway. Crown Lands assumed responsibility for the building last December.
In the meantime other local wedding and function venues and restaurants are offering to price match for couples who had booked the popular venue for their special day.
