There’s been a horrific discovery during a police drug raid in country New South Wales, with an 8 year old boy found locked in a shed on a remote property, north west of Taree. The child told police he was kept there for three weeks, and only allowed outside to do chores. Police made the shocking find, after uncovering a sophisticated cannabis set-up.
Police are searching for two men following a series of armed robberies in Sydney’s west. In one of the raids a man wearing a hoody and socks on his hands and carrying a shotgun fleeced a shopkeeper of the day’s takings.
And Queensland is in for a very wet Christmas. The north of the State is on cyclone watch with a tropical low sitting just south of the gulf of Carpentaria. Parts of far north Queensland have already been drenched, with flooding now the main threat.
