ETU CONTINUES FIGHT FOR ESSENTIAL ENERGY WORKERS

The Electrical Trades Union was back at the Fair Work Commission for an arbitration hearing today, in a bid to see Essential Energy workers receive a fair deal.
It’s pressuring the company to continue giving employees meaningful work, despite their positions being classified as ‘unfunded’.
About 40 employees across the North West are facing unemployment.
A decision on whether the employer can introduce a policy regarding forced redundancies is expected to be handed down before Christmas.
