Crash investigators are investigating what caused a three car accident in Kincumber just before 2 o’clock this afternoon.
An occupant of one of the cars was trapped for more than 30 minutes with leg injuries.
One person was airlifted to Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital, while three others were taken by ambulance to Gosford Hospital.
The accident occurred at the junction of Empire Bay Drive and Kerta Road.
