A deliberately-lit fire has caused extensive damage to Mackillop College at Warnervale.
Crews arrived at the school at 10:30 last night, to find five bins alight across the school grounds, one of which caused severe damage to a classroom.
A wooden walkway was also destroyed.
Police say it could have been far worse if fire fighters hadn’t arrived when they did.
