Australian hang gliding champion Jonny Durand soared above Newcastle today.
The World number two saying it’s been a long time coming.
“You know I’ve been flying for 20 years and I’ve never flown here in Newcastle and I have a lot of friends here and they told me its just a magical place and I finally got to experience it today and they are 100 percent right”
With three world records to his name, it’s his Australian accolades achieved by flying across the Great Australian Bite he’s most proud of.
“To achieve two world records in one day was just something more than I could ever dream of”
