A 39-year-old man is accused of deliberately lighting two fires on the Far North Coast, which destroyed around seven hectares of sugar cane.
It’s alleged the fires were started at 4:30pm and 6:15pm yesterday along Coraki Road.
The man is facing a string of offences, including malicious damage by fire and assaulting police.
