Olympic gold medalist Tom Slingsby has re-signed with Oracle Team USA for next Americas Cup.
The 29-year-old Central Coast sailor was the strategist for the US team in its spectacular comeback win against New Zealand in March.
It’s expected Slingsby will play a bigger role for Oracle, serving as tactician and backup helmsman.
He’ll replace Ben Ainslie, an Olympic star who is trying to launch a British challenge.
