The big seas that have been pounding the mid north coast since yesterday continued to wreak havoc in the region today, forcing the closure of several beaches.
At Diggers Beach in Coffs Harbour, these tourists found themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time, amost swept up by the current.
Lifeguards took no chances, putting up closure signs along the city’s shoreline early in the day.
While at the Coffs Harbour marina, walkers stayed away from the breakwall with wild waves surging over the pathway.
The dangerous conditions are expected to continue for the next two days.
