Councillors will consider allocating $250,000 towards the development of Tamworth’s new aquatic centre at Tuesday night’s meeting.
The funds will be used to develop a business case, design concept plans and estimate costings for the multi-million dollar project.
Council is hoping to have it shovel ready by December next year.
It’s estimated the facility could cost in excess of $30-million dollars to build.
