A video shot by a fisherman in the Upper Hunter has sparked an investigation into suspected, illegal fishing in Lake Glenbawn.
Mitchell Cone posted this video showing about 50 metres of abandoned nets, containing hundreds of dead fish.
The Department of Primary Industries is looking into the incident and is encouraging anyone with information to come forward.
