A New England Regional Group of Councils has been formed to allow cities and towns to collaborate and share resources in a cost effective manner.
The move predominantly consists of the Mayors and General Managers of Armidale, Glen Innes, Guyra, Inverell and Uralla councils.
Forming the group is an interim measure, until legislation for a Joint Regional Organisation becomes available.
