Work on the next stage of the Willow Tree pipeline is now underway.
Construction has begun between Quirindi and Willow Tree and is expected to take six weeks to complete.
Once operational, the $4.8-million pipeline will drought-proof the town of Willow Tree.
Water restrictions have recently been reduced to level one, and are likely remain in place until the project is completed.
