A Maitland Blacks rugby union player has undergone emergency spinal surgery, after sustaining serious injuries in a grand final scrum on the weekend.
27-year-old, Dom Punch, remains in a critical but stable condition at Royal North Shore Hospital, after dislocating two vertebrae.
The club has set up a fundraiser.
