A 21 year old man wanted by police has been charged under Skye’s Law after allegedly leading officers on a pursuit through Tamworth.
Police say they followed the vehicle to a house in Gipps Street, where they then broke a car window to arrest the driver.
Officers later attended a house in East Tamworth where they allegedly seized a small amount of cannabis and an unregistered shortened .22 calibre rifle.
A 26-year-old man who was a passenger in the car was issued with a future service court attendance notice for possessing a prohibited drug.
Investigations into the unregistered firearm are continuing.
