Gas company Metgasco has launched legal action against the New South Wales government over its unlawful suspension of drilling at its Rosella site.
On Friday, the company served a statement of claim for damages after a government decision halted drilling near Bentley last year.
The case will be heard in the Supreme Court, a date for the hearing is yet to be set.
