One of the deadliest stretches of the Pacific Highway is about to be bypassed.
State and federal politicians will join the Roads and Maritime Service to officially open the Nambucca Heads to Urunga highway upgrade tomorrow morning.
Work on the 22 kilometre stretch of dual carriageway began in late 2013.
The bypass was slated to be opened next month, but thanks to fine weather, work on the $780 million upgrade has been completed two weeks ahead of schedule.
