Tributes continue to flow for racing legend Bart Cummings following his passing over the weekend.
Grafton trainer Scott Henley became good friends with the Melbourne Cup king when he worked with him for four years in the mid nineties.
Henley says he learned much from Cummings including the need to have patience with horses.
“He knew how far he could go with a horse, when they were at an end, when they needed a spell and he knew when to back off and when to step them up – he just had that eye,” Scott Henley said.
Henley will attend the state funeral for Bart Cummings in Sydney on Monday.
