A man has been charged after high speed police pursuit through Taree last night, the driver allegedly travelling at 170 kilometres per hour on the Pacific Highway at Nabiac.
The vehicle lost control during the pursuit, crashing into a median strip at Koorainghat.
The 39-year-old man was arrested and returned a positive breath test.
He was refused bail and appeared at Port Macquarie Court today.
