FIREARMS SEIZED AFTER CAR ALLEGEDLY SHOT AT

A man from the Manning Great Lakes region will face court after a car was allegedly shot at last night.

Police say the shooting took place following an argument between two men, aged 25 and 48, at Wherrol Flat, near Wingham, shortly after 10.30pm.

The 25-year-old man was inside the car with three other people at the time of the alleged shooting, with the car sustaining damage to a rear tail light.

The 48-year-old man was arrested, and two registered firearms – a rifle and a revolver – were also seized.

He was charged with discharging a firearm in a manner likely to injure person or property, and his firearms licence was suspended.

Police will allege the two men are known to each other.
