50 women got the ball rolling yesterday, supporting a fund raiser at Broadbeach.
Local swimsuit label White Sands took centre stage with its pretty in pink theme.
“All the ladies I have spoken to here have a family member or friend , daughter, mother, sister who has been affected by breast cancer so important we call get together and raise money and really create awareness for breast cancer.”
“We’ve had a few friends who had a few health scares and it made the cause even more important to me.”
Pink Ribbon merchandise is already on sale at shopping centres across the city.
