NORTH WEST A HOTSPOT FOR CAR ACCIDENTS INVOLVING ANIMALS

Three north west towns have been revealed as hotspots when it comes to car accidents involving animals.
Based on data recorded by the NRMA, there was more than 10,000 collisions on New South Wales roads last year.
Dubbo topped the list, while Moree was fourth recording 99 collisions.
Armidale came in fifth with 95 accidents, while Tamworth was sixth with 90.
The data also showed 80 per cent of animal collisions involved kangaroos.
