Souths have jumped into the Real NRL top three thanks to a 36-nil win over Macquarie.
There was drama shortly after the kick-off when Scott Briggs was sent to the bin for fighting.
The tension only grew as both sides struggled to complete their sets.
Lachlan Fitzgibbon finally made the breakthrough for Souths midway through the half.
Briggs and Fitzgibbon combined to double the visitors’ lead after half an hour.
Just before the break, winger Ryan Pywell crossed to give Souths a 16-nil lead.
It was all one way traffic in the second, as Fitzgibbon bagged a hat trick.
