A former priest who’s been charged with a number of historic child sex offences as part of Strike Force Glenroe will remain behind bars until his trial next year.
The accused had been on bail since his arrest in 2012, but it was revoked in the state’s Supreme Court last week.
He’ll stand trial in Sydney on more than 50 separate sexual and indecent assault charges on January 25.
Strike Force Glenroe was set up in 2012 to investigate claims of alleged sexual abuse in the 1970’s and 80’s in Armidale and Moree.
