Two people have been killed, and three others injured, in a single-vehicle crash in the North West this morning.
Shortly before 6am, emergency services responded to reports that a vehicle had crashed into a tree off the Newell Highway, about 25-kilometres south of Narrabri.
Two died at the scene, while one man is fighting for his life in John Hunter Hospital, and another two were injured.
The crash has brought the national holiday road toll to 17.
