WAR MEDALS AMONG ALLEGEDLY STOLEN PROPERTY SEIZED AT THE CENTRAL COAST

Detectives investigating the supply of methampetamine across New South Wales have charged two men following a number of raids across the Central Coast.

Yesterday morning, officers from Strike Force Raptor executed search warrants at homes in Tumbi Umbi and Wadalba as well as an industrial property in Tuggerah.

Five stolen motor vehicles, including a BMW and two commodores, were allegedly located inside the Tuggerah address, as well as a loaded shotgun, a stolen vessel and several allegedly stolen numbers plates.

War medals, fireworks and a poker machine were allegedly seized from the Wadalba home as well as a sum of cash and illicit drugs.

Inside the Tumbi Umbi home, it’s alleged police more than $3000 in cash, an amount of illicit drugs, a number of electronic devices, a pen gun and ammunition.

All items seized will be subject to forensic investigation.

Police are investigating the origin of the war medals and are urging anyone who recognises them to come forward.

Two men, a 39-year-old and a 58-year-old, were arrested during the raids.

The 39-year-old was charged with possess ammunition without holding licence/permit/authority.

He was granted conditional bail and will appear at Wyong Local Court in May.

The 58-year-old was charged with two counts of possess prohibited drug, be in unauthorised possession of approved gaming machine, possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit and possess instructions for manufacture etc of prohibited drug.

He was refused bail and will front court later today.
