COFFS BREAKWATER SKETCHES ALLOW VIEWS OF OCEAN

Coffs Harbour City Council has welcomed news that the $2.5-million northern breakwater upgrade for the marina will allow tourists and other visitors to look over the rock wall.

The state government has now released artistic impressions of what the finished project will look like, amid fears views could be blocked.

The walkway will be raised to allow people to see over the rocks.

“The good news there of course is that no views will be lost but it will certainly protect the harbour,” said Councillor Garry Innes.

Work on the state government project is expected to begin early next year.
