Following months of community consultation, Gunnedah Shire Council has endorsed the preferred option for the memorial pool redevelopment.
The design concept includes an eight lane, 52 metre cold water pool, maintenance of the 25 metre heated pool and refurbishment of the pavilion and amenities.
Wet and dry play areas for kids will also be mapped out.
It’s one of the largest projects council has taken on in 50 years, and it’s expected to cost nearly $8 million.
