Two Murwillumbah properties have been placed into quarantine after it was confirmed a horse on one of the properties had contracted the deadly Hendra virus.
The horse died on Saturday afternoon after displaying symptoms of the illness.
It’s the first confirmed case of Hendra in New South Wales this year.
