Richmond Valley Council says it will appeal an $8,000 fine for allegedly polluting the Evans River with untreated sewage.
The Environmental Protection Authority says 12.7 kilolitres of untreated sewage was released into the Evans River on the 2nd of March, in breach of the Environment Operations Act.
