FUTURE ENGINEERS BUILD STRAW TOWERS

They could be the engineers of the future.

Today 120 students got a chance to test their skills in a competition between 12 Hunter schools.

The pupils built towers using drinking straws and glue, and tested which one could handle the most weight.

This was the last straw for a mammoth tower from Coal Point Public.

The tall task, too much for some to bear.
