HOGAN SLAMS LABOR OVER PACIFIC HIGHWAY FUNDING

National’s candidate for Page, Kevin Hogan has criticised the PM for not using yesterdays inspection of the Pacific Highway at Bangalow to increase the government’s funding commitments.
“I was hoping yesterday that given the opportunity that she would have equalled our commitment to keep the funding at 80-20.”
If elected the coalition has promised to fund 80 per cent of the upgrade, while Labor is offering to split the bill 50-50 with the State Government.
“The former Howard Government which the Leader of the Opposition was a pivotal part of, if they had have invested at the rate we have been investing, we wouldn’t be having this conversation now because it would have been done by now.”
