A 31-year-old man will remain in Kempsey jail following a high speed police pursuit along the Pacific Highway near Nabiac overnight.
Police chased the vehicle for 70 kilometres before it crashed into a dirt embankment at Meade Street, Bulahdelah.
The Sydney man was arrested and taken to Manning Hospital for drug testing.
He’s due to face Parramatta Court next month.
