Convicted puppy killer, Nathan Thompson, will appeal his sentence.
Thompson was jailed for 18-months in May, after pleading guilty to serious animal cruelty offenses relating to the death of a litter of puppies near Kurri Kurri.
He’s due to appeal the sentence in Newcastle District Court on June 10.
The case captured nation-wide attention, with only one puppy surviving the horrific attack – the aptly named ‘Lucky’.
