Tamworth residents had the chance to see Virgin’s aircraft on the tarmac today.
They were given tours of the 68-seat planes and even given a chance to take control of the cockpit.
With the carrier’s flights between Tamworth and Sydney to begin in nine days, Virgin fielded questions from the community about its service.
“Tamworth has been monopoly area for than a decade. So people are just keen to understand what our plans are for the market.”
The first flight departs Tamworth at 3:30pm on May 25.
