A 21-year-old man has been arrested after a high speed chase through Tamworth this afternoon.
The man allegedly failed to stop for a random breath test along Ebbsworth Street just before 1.30, resulting in a police pursuit through west Tamworth and Taminda.
It’s alleged the motorist reached speeds of up to 130 kilometres an hour and then abandoned the vehicle in the Jewry Street area, before being picked up by police.
He was arrested and charged for a number of traffic matters.
