Small businesses in the Forster area will be given more support after Great Lakes Council became the latest to join up to a new initiative.
The small business friendly councils program sets a number of benchmarks local government must achieve to improve the conditions for the sector – cutting red tape and promoting greater collaboration among the key focuses.
The initiative is a first in Australia.
