NATIONAL PART DENY DOBBING ON NANAS

The National Party has hit back at a suggestion by the Greens that it was responsible for a complaint against the ‘Knitting Nanas’, that resulted in the group being issued a warning by Police.
On Thursday, officers told the Nanas that their weekly ‘knit in’ outside the office of Lismore MP Thomas George was illegal.
But Deputy Premier Troy Grant issued a statement today saying he supports the Nanas’ right to protest, and the complaint couldn’t have come from Thomas George, as he wasn’t in Lismore at the time.
