The state seats of Ballina and Lismore are still yet to be determined.
In Lismore, 90 percent of the votes have been counted and it’s predicted sitting Nationals member Thomas George will retain the seat.
But with just 3.8 percent of the votes separating him from Greens candidate Adam Guise, those in the Lismore electorate may have to wait until the end of the week for an announcement.
While in Ballina it’s looking far more certain that Greens candidate Tamara Smith will topple the Nationals’ Kris Beavis.
With more than 52 percent of the overall votes, Ms Smith is confident she can end the Nationals’ 26 year reign.
Final results for Ballina are expected to be announced tomorrow.
